Senior Web Developer (Client Side)

HUGE is looking for an experienced, lead level client-side developer to join our team to lead initiatives on some of our largest client engagements. Lead client-side developers liaise between cross-functional teams to understand core presentation layer requirements and recommend and implement solutions that follow-up best practices and standards. Leads are also the main communication hub with the server-side team and are responsible for collaborating with them to identify integration points and dependencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for design as well as an intimate understanding and appreciation for presentation layer code.
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Expert-level ability with AJAX, JS, JSON, DOM scripting, CSS and HTML
  • Advanced ability to create table-less layouts using CSS and semantically correct markup
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks and unobtrusive techniques
  • Experience integrating HTML-based content with other, 3rd party environments (i.e. Content Management Systems)
  • Experience with source control (SVN) and bug tracking systems
  • Experience with some of the following technologies, such as Net, JAVA, JSTL, Struts, Flash
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Ability to follow technical specifications and production processes
  • Experience with PHP (Drupal, WordPress etc. )
  • Knowledgeable with Social Media Applications  (Facebook, Twitter, etc)
  • Advanced understanding of web standards and best practices including SEO and accessibility
  • In depth understanding of cross-browser, front-end development issues 
 
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 5+ years client-side development experience, 2+ of those years in a senior or lead role in an agency environment
  • Experience with content management systems and mobile application development a plus but not required
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong time management and problem solving capabilities
