It’s easier than ever to get to and from Rio de Janeiro thanks to, the redesigned official website for Tom Jobim International Airport.

In 2014, Huge partnered with Rio Galeão on a three-month project to redesign the official website for Rio de Janeiro's Tom Jobim International Airport. The assignment included design, user experience, as well as front-end and back-end development. The new site would need to be user-friendly for all travelers, regardless of their nationality and language, or the size of their device.

Huge's team in Rio de Janeiro created a fully responsive designed to make life easier for everyone navigating their way in or out of the airport. The new site features proprietary plug-ins, allowing users to interact with up-to-date flight information provided by Infraero (the leading Brazilian airport and flight operator). The site's 'Flight Panel' displays flight numbers, terminals, as well as each flight's estimated time of arrival or departure.

The site also provides detailed information on restaurants, shopping, airlines and special services that can be found at the airport and helps users plan their travel, with a Passenger's Guide offering travel tips on everything from luggage and the transportation of pets, to required documentation and security protocols. People can use the new to quickly calculate how much their trip to or from the airport will cost, with a Transportation Calculator providing estimates across multiple modes of transportation, including buses, trains, taxis, and personal vehicles. All routes are updated in real-time via Google's Maps API.
