Huge's Brooklyn Office Hosts 18F For a Open Data Content Strategy Meetup.
Everything in context: open data content strategy.
Open data can inform design and policy decisions, improve government services, and help save people’s lives. In this session, Nicole will talk about what it’s like to be a content interloper in the data world, and how to make data make sense to the public. She’ll share methods her team uses to put numbers in context, along with insights from her recent work with FBI crime data.
About the speaker: Nicole Fenton is a writer, editor, researcher, and strategist. She currently leads the content design team at 18F, the government’s in-house design and technology consultancy. Nicole is the coauthor of Nicely Said: Writing for the Web with Style and Purpose, and teaches strategic writing at the School of Visual Arts. Before becoming a public servant, she led content projects of all sizes at Facebook, Lab Zero, Mule Design, and Apple.
