Ascot Racecourse and Huge Launch New Website to Enhance Racegoers' Experience.

The site provides a more intuitive user experience, making it easy to navigate through the details of any of the 26 racedays, which the Berkshire track hosts throughout the year.

March 19, 2013. London. Ascot, the world’s most famous racecourse and home to the flagship Royal Meeting, held annually in June, is proud to announce the launch of the new website, designed and developed by Huge.

The site aims to provide a more intuitive and image led user experience, making it easy to navigate through the details of any of the 26 racedays, which the Berkshire track hosts throughout the year.

Admission types, racing information, fine dining options and entertainment are all beautifully presented in separate modules for each raceday, including premier events such as Royal Ascot, Betfair King George Day, the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup and QIPCO British Champions Day. From novices to racing enthusiasts, users are presented with enhancement options for group packages and upgrade experiences and there are helpful maps and guides available to assist racegoers before they arrive.

"We designed the site to appeal to the broad audience that Ascot attracts,” said Andy Thomas, Creative Director at Huge, London. “The raceday experience starts with a visit to the website and we wanted the user to have the opportunity to easily search for all of the elements that make the event exciting – the racing, fashion, food and drink," he added.

Innovative new concepts have been created to keep the information fresh and dynamic, such as the Style Guide module, which provides racegoers information on the dress codes for each enclosure and features outfits that are compliant with the unique dress codes for Royal Ascot.
