Huge has partnered with NYC BigApps, the fourth annual competition to promote government transparency and innovative new technologies, to host the NYC BigApps + Huge App Design Night at Foursquare on Thursday, May 16. Organized by the NYCEDC, in collaboration with DoITT, NYC BigApps addresses New York City’s goals of increasing government transparency, promoting technology innovation, and improving the quality of life for New York residents and visitors.
The event will take place at Foursquare headquarters in Soho and will allow participating designers and developers to learn and discuss how to design apps for everyday users. Some of New York's best designers, including Huge’s UX Partner Michal Pasternak, will speak about how to craft beautiful, creative and original apps that are used by millions of people. Other speakers include designers from FiftyThree, Etsy, Digg, The New York Times, Foursquare and Fitocracy.

About NYC Big Apps: Launched in 2009 as part of Media.NYC.2020’s initiatives to strengthen the City’s media and technology sectors, NYC BigApps is an annual competition challenging developers to create innovative software applications that utilize publicly available City data.
