The AV/Support Specialist is primarily responsible for in-office meeting setup, support and light IT troubleshooting.
Job description.
Working in our home office in Brooklyn NY, you will maintain our AV presence throughout various sized conference rooms by checking connections, setting up video/presentation calls, walking users and clients through presentation steps and being on call in case there is a problem during a variety of different events. During down time, you may be asked to assist users with simple IT issues (password lockouts and small equipment requests). Familiarity with computers (Macs a plus), A/V conferencing tools (Crestron or similar touch panels, projectors, streaming), Google Hangouts, Zoom and the ability to think on your toes and interact with large groups of people are important skills for the position. This is a physical job and you may be asked to lift items up to 30 lbs, climb ladders and/or get under tables to change wiring/fix connections.
What we’d like to see.
- You have 1-2 years of experience working with A/V, presentation and streaming equipment
- You are computer savvy and have Mac OS, Zoom, Google Hangout, Webex experience
- You are comfortable working with other people, often times being on the spot to find solutions quickly
- You are willing to learn various aspects of IT in a creative, collaborative environment
- You are able to work onsite 5 days a week (M-F) and occasionally during off hours for special events
- You are detail oriented and can journal/document issues you see and communicate problems to your team
