About Senior Platform Engineer.

Our Senior Platform Engineer will be responsible for Cloud Operations of a data product.  Focusing on the design, implementation, and management of data workflows. Experience working with API servers to databases, message queues to cloud infrastructure, and all the stream processing in between are must haves.

Huge is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Huge team working remote.  In this role, you will be responsible for Cloud Operations of a data product.  Focusing on the design, implementation, and management of data workflows.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Be responsible for the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning 
  • Work with team members to design, document, and implement large-scale distributed streams and batch processing of of data
  • Provide tooling and infrastructure for other internal teams
  • Manage deployments in cloud environments such as AWS 

What we’d like to see.

  • Great communication skills, a critical thinker and problem-solving individual
  • 5+ years of experience working with cloud operations, distributed systems, and data processing
  • General software engineering knowledge in data structures, and functional programming
  • Experience with Command Line Interfaces (CLI) such as AWS and GCP 
  • Experience creating documentation and architecture diagrams
