With over 25 years of experience, Matt has worked at global agencies such as Sid Lee, Critical Mass, BBDO/Proximity and Tribal DDB. During this time, he brought transformational & digitally-led thinking to global brands including Audi, Boeing, Google, Mars, Netflix, Pepsi QTG, P&G, Samsung, Starbucks and Visa. His clients have allowed him the opportunity to work at the Global level, as well as in specific markets, including Canada, US, Hong Kong, South Korea & Australia. These clients have also contributed to three different agencies winning Agency of the Year, as well as Cannes Lions, Best in Shows at the FAB Awards, Effies and LIAAs, among many other local awards.
Matt is an active member of the industry, presenting at SXSW twice, Banff World Media Festival, Tech Toronto’s MarketingTO, Dx3, and Advertising Week. He has been published in the Financial Post, Betakit, Media in Canada, Strategy, and ThePopBreak. In 2011, he was Executive Producer of the off broadway NYC play, "Quake" and wrote, directed & produced "The Grind" in 2001's Toronto Fringe Festival.
He volunteers with Rippleworks, mentoring scale-up, YLabs; with Techstars, advising early stage start-ups and with TIFF’s Digital Advisory Board. He is also an advisor for several early-stage start-ups including eQuo, Xicama Juice, the Liquor Donuts record label/venue & sharing economy company, Spacefy.
