Interaction Designer
Interaction Designers develop information architecture for all web, product, and online interactions. The HUGE process starts with development of the product's conceptual model--understanding exactly who the users are and describing and ranking their goals and behaviors. Every project at HUGE includes substantial time for research and experimentation, phases that are conducted mainly by interaction designers.
Responsibilities:
- Determine a product’s mandate, feature set, and business requirements
- Participate in user testing or fieldwork
- Develop user personas, scenarios of use, interaction models
- Create wireframes and functional prototypes
- Document feature behavior in loving, painstaking detail
- Collaborate with HUGE teammates, HUGE clients, and third parties to ensure that your solutions survive the development process
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Proven, hands-on ability to apply the methodologies of interaction design to software development.
- 2+ years experience designing and documenting windows applications or large-scale web-based applications, involving detailed design schematics and business rules.
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Solid writing and visual communication skills
- Familiarity with usability heuristics, relevant HCI literature, and best practice user experience
- Knowledge of InDesign or other tool for generating wireframes and behavior specifications
- The precision of an artist and the passion of a scientist
