Experience Director
HUGE is seeking an Experience Director to join our User Experience team. Our Experience Directors lead our most complex and innovative projects, creating products used by millions of people every day. Directors often own multiple projects at the same time or oversee and drive a multi-track account with a UX team supporting.HUGE is a full-service digital agency with user experience as its focus, so our Directors are required to lead and inspire (and do!) anything an account might need. The work includes digital strategy and interaction design across any touchpoint, including web, mobile, social, tablet and in-store.
This is NOT just a role for pushing designers to follow best practices. Directors must seek out opportunities to create innovative approaches to all design problems. They are captivating storytellers who bring the team’s work to life and drive success with the client.
Experience Directors oversee interdisciplinary teams through research, strategy development, concepting, product definition, and design. A successful Experience Director at HUGE is a strategic product owner, a team player, and a skilled client partner all rolled into one.
In addition to project work, Experience Directors help to shape the User Experience department, manage and mentor other interaction designers, and play a major role in business development.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee any kind of UX project deliverables (such as strategic vision briefs, concepts, wireframes, site maps, workflows, etc.) while partnering with other disciplines for a stellar final product
- Be hands on, should the project need it
- Work closely with clients guiding brainstorms, leading working sessions, and giving senior presentations
- Grow and advise more junior talent in any department
- Collaborate with Client Services to create project scopes, schedules, and road maps
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Typically, 10+ years experience creating interfaces, large scale websites, or applications
- Successful track record leading interdisciplinary teams in creating killer products that consider innovation and usability
- Inspires passion, dedication, and killer work from others
- Thinks holistically and strategically about a client’s business
- Has experience with senior clients
- Has engaging presentation style + solid writing and visual communication skills
- Works collaboratively with other intelligent and talented types – no egos please
- Open to feedback and knows how and when to defend design choices
- The curiosity of a scientist and the passion of an artist
