Design has always been about problem solving. And next year, it will be about broadening the role of the designer to solve what may not seem like design problems. 

At least, that's what these seven influencers, including New York Times graphics editor Jennifer Daniel and MIT principal research scientist Andrew McAfee, predict. We caught up with them after their Brooklyn 1.0 talks to hear what they believe designers should be thinking about in 2016.
