Intro.
Jim Tattersall and Andy Jackson met 11 years ago building a website for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and haven’t stopped working together since. In late 2013, Jim founded Rotateº, a London-based agency specialized in composable ecommerce—the practice of building platform-agnostic solutions in the most efficient way possible. Andy joined him in 2015 as a key part of the leadership team.
Together, they built a shared value system grounded in client obsession and mutual respect for each other’s craft—Jim’s high energy balanced by Andy’s calm, collected approach. They’ll also be first to admit they butt heads—a lot. But that’s exactly what makes it work.
Now joining Huge through the recent acquisition of Rotateº, the team brings deep expertise in composable architecture and AI-enabled commerce delivery. In this installment of Makers, Jim, SVP of Product, and Andy, VP of Experience Design, talk about ways of working and what happens when two very different personalities want exactly the same thing.

Where it started.
Jim: We’ve been immersed in composable commerce for 13 years and built a business around hiring the most senior people we could in the commerce space. Everything we do—our model, how we sell, how we price, what we offer clients—is really about doing the best job we can to serve ecommerce businesses from every angle, and iterating on that over 13 years with complete focus. And, honestly, what aligns me and Andy more than anything is that we butt heads all the time. Like every five minutes.
Andy: Healthy friction!
Jim: Honestly, no one challenges me like Andy. But what makes it work is that underneath the friction, our ideologies and values—how much we care about serving clients—is what holds us together and pushes us to get the best out of each other.
In terms of what we bring to Huge, it’s that depth of literally living commerce and serving commerce brands for over a decade. Understanding those businesses, working with founders, getting to a real depth of understanding their problem spaces.
I’m genuinely excited to bring this to Huge. We haven’t been here long, but it’s amazing to come into a place where you feel like you’re adding value really quickly—not just within the business, but across the incredible clients Huge already serves. The opportunity is bigger than we expected. We came in thinking we’d carry on building our own pipeline, but there is so much more here.
